New England Baked Beans
Makes 4 to 6 servings

slices uncooked bacon, chopped
cans (about 15 ounces each) Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
small onion, chopped
cup canned diced tomatoes, well drained
tablespoons packed light brown sugar
tablespoons maple syrup
tablespoons unsulphured molasses
cloves garlic, minced
teaspoon dry mustard
teaspoon black pepper
Slow Cooker Directions
Cook bacon in large skillet until almost cooked but not crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Combine bacon and all remaining ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or until mixture is thickened. Remove bay leaf before serving.
