Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Makes about 3 dozen cookies
Ingredients
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup REESE'S® Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups (12-ounce package) HERSHEY'®S SPECIAL DARK® Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'®S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  Granulated sugar
   
1. Heat oven to 375°F.
2. Beat butter, shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and egg in large bowl until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda and baking powder; stir into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips (if necessary, work chocolate chips into batter with hands).
3. Shape into 1-inch balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet. With fork dipped in granulated sugar flatten slightly in criss-cross pattern.
4. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or just until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
