Granola

Granola is a cereal made of various combinations of grains, mainly oats, nuts and dried fruits that are sweetened with brown sugar or honey and flavored with spices or vanilla. Some granolas contain coconut. Granola may be purchased at supermarkets or health food stores or made at home. Use it as a snack, breakfast food or as an ingredient in baked goods. Granola should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to one month or refrigerated for no longer than three months.
